La Casa de Amistad

This week we got another ministry oppurtunity, visiting La Casa de Amistad.  In Bolivia families are allowed to live with the family member that is convicted in prison.  So a whole family can live with the convicted parent in a tiny cell….what???  So La Casa de Amistad is a school for the children who live in the prison and they get fed two meals and are given somewhat of an education. My first visit to Amistad-Emily, Amanda, and I were in the 4 and 5 year old class.  The kids were so needy for love and any form of affection.  This little boy Jose was the...

Memorial Day Weekend

I know Memorial Day Weekend has passed and a lot has happened between then and now but this blog serves a purpose. I arrived in Gainesville, GA on Memorial Day Weekend and got to see the faces of some of the people from my squad. The next day they were headed to the river to go kayaking and though I didn’t want to go, I chose to because I wanted to spend time with those people before they headed back home. The night before I told them I was not going and then I was, the next morning I told them I was then wasn’t then finally decided to go. Palabra de Vida

Hola Amigos y Familia! This week has gone by so quickly and Bolivia is starting to feel more like home! God has blessed us this whole time with gorgeous weather. It is their winter right now so they are bundled up 24/7. This week has been full of ministry and time to spend with God in devotion. Although I have felt so at home with my wonderful team, earlier this week I had a hard day where I struggled with the...

Please! Please! Please!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to remind you that my team and I could really use your prayers while we are here in Bolivia. We need prayer against any illness – it’s winter here so colds and the flu are going around on top of the food-sicknesses we can catch. Also, we have been having trouble sleeping because of spiritual attacks, nightmares, colds, ect. Finally, we would love prayer over our ministries and team unity.

Uh Oh…

Uh Oh… that is how I have been feeling over the past couple of days. The second night we were challenged to surrender something that was holding us back from God´s best. As I was praying God really laid on my heart that I need to surrender my plans. My plans and expectations that I have created for my life. The things I expected to accomplish, the places I expected to live and the jobs I expected to have. All of my plans I laid at the foot of the cross. God has been asking me to surrender my whole life for a long time… It is as if I have...
