Memorial Day Weekend

I know Memorial Day Weekend has passed and a lot has happened between then and now but this blog serves a purpose. I arrived in Gainesville, GA on Memorial Day Weekend and got to see the faces of some of the people from my squad. The next day they were headed to the river to go kayaking and though I didn’t want to go, I chose to because I wanted to spend time with those people before they headed back home. The night before I told them I was not going and then I was, the next morning I told them I was then wasn’t then finally decided to go. It started out pretty...

Beauty Behind Bars

So yesterday four of us had the awesome opportunity to visit the women’s prison and to participate in a bible study with the women there.  I have to say that everything about that place was completely different than what I was expecting. I thought that it would be an oppressive, bleak and depressed environment, but that thought was completely blown away. We found ourselves walking into an open-air courtyard filling with plastic tables and chairs, clothes hanging on the line, women cooking and chatting with one another. Surrounding the courtyard were three stories of rooms...

Palabra de Vida

Hola Amigos y Familia! This week has gone by so quickly and Bolivia is starting to feel more like home! God has blessed us this whole time with gorgeous weather. Please! Please! Please!

We need prayer against any illness – it’s winter here so colds and the flu are going around on top of the food-sicknesses we can catch. Also, we have been having trouble sleeping because of spiritual attacks, nightmares, colds, ect. Finally, we would love prayer over our ministries and team unity.

What Had Happened Was…

Day 2 in Cochabamba…   What was supposed to be just a team meeting with some prayer turned into a night of the Holy Spirit moving radically!!!  We started with the talk of spiritual warfare then began to pray for our home to be protected from any spiritual attack.  The Holy Spirit came in and took over from there.  We prayed for about an hour but were interupted by having to go to dinner.   After dinner Calie shared her testimony, which was quite powerful.  We then prayed for her.  I then asked for prayer for my back which was in a lot of pain from...
