I have arrived! After almost 24 hours of traveling from van to airport to plane and so on we have finally settled here in Cochabamba! This past week has already been a blessing in so many ways. God has brought me here to the beautiful country safely and has surrounded me with a team of 7 wonderful ladies. Each one has been so encouraging and inspiring to my faith and we all have already been blown away by the work God ha done in our lives. Our second night here we had an amazing time of prayer that lasted for hours. Through that time God has given me a peace about being here. He has taken me away from my friends and family to show me that wherever I go he is with me and wants to fufill me with his love.
Palabra de Vida, which is the camp we are staying at, is more beautiful than I had imagined! It is built along a lake here outside of the city and is home to many missionary families, single woman and men missionaries, about 50 young adults from Bolivia attending the Bible school, adn of course now my lovely team!
A ministry we have just began here is teaching the missionary children in their school. We all hae a subject and are teaching them through the course books that have been provided. I taught 4th grade US history yesterday and let me tell you, these kids are incredibly intelligent! They speak spanish, english and are learning quechua. I have already fallen in love with the people here and admire them for their servents hearts.
These past two days we have been fed by the camp cooks both lunch and dinner. It has been a great time to practice my spanish and get to know my team as well as the kids here! Last night my table of girls couldnt hold in our excitement when we saw that brownies were a part of our dinner! Our craving for sweets and especially chocolate was finally satisfied! The kids from the camp noticed this excitement and offered their brownies to us as well. I am sure we made their night just by giving them a laugh. I think this describes our team a bit just by how we are all so grateful for the little things God has been providing. This time has been a huge blessing and God has given us more than we need.
