I heart bolivia

This past week we had a team from Georgia come and do ministry beside us.  At first I was a little nervous because our team has developed a rhythem and we are comfortable with each other etc.  But the team from Georgia opened up so many oppurtunities for us.  Just talking to them and sharing what Christ has done in our lives was so awesome. Since this week was so packed with mini ministry oppurtunities so the GA team could get a taste of Cochabamba, I wasn´t really focused on our short ministry oppurtunities but  God taught me that He is a global God and he showed me...

Jewelry

Since being here in Cochabamba, we have had the opportunity to help Palabra De Vida (the ministry we are partnering with) make necklaces with maching earrings.  The process starts with us cutting pieces of paper into long triangles, rolling the triangle into a bead, varnishing the beads then creating a necklace.  These neclaces help pay for Palabra De Vida to build new buildings for the students / missionaries.  They sell these neclaces in the states for around $15 but they sell them much cheaper here in Bolivia. These necklaces are actually quite beautiful (I would post...

Rolling Forward

Blog from Week 1: No taxi trufi ride into Cochabamba today! The last time I posted we had come to la ciudad (the city) via public transportation, i.e. taxi trufi – a van with 2 yellow lines on the hood and a circular insignia. This being our first week in Cochabamba, I can say it has been quite an adventure. Aside from not being able to flush paper down the toilet (which I´ve done 3 time so far), eating delicious traditional Bolivian food, and exploring La Cancha-the HUGE/busy/outside market, God has been very present.   Day 2 of being in Cochabamba, Thursday I believe, our team...
