so many blessings

Hola! I hope you all are doing great and that you have been blessed this week! I have had an incredibly busy week, but God has stood beside me in all of it and has opened my eyes to see him in a much bigger way. This past week we have been blessed by joining with a team from Georgia. They have stayed here the past 7 days and we have done all of our ministry together. The president of Helping Hands was here as well leading our new extended team members. He took us to a handful of wonderful ministries all over Cochabamba. Oh and side note, Helping Hands is the organization...

Stretched And Blessed

On one of our first days in Cochabamba, we were told that an American team from a church in Georgia would join us. We were filled with excitement and questions. Would we get along with this team? How old is this group? What will we be doing for the week? Who is this infamous Richard that people keep on talking about?             The day of their arrival seemed to go on forever. They were supposed to arrive around lunchtime on...

God is Love

From Week 2:    In Luke 19 the Pharisees told Jesus to rebuke his disciples for praising God loudly for the miracles he had done and Jesus responded, Ïf they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.¨ God will be praised regardless of whether I do it or not, but I really am glad to be praising Him right now. The ¨theme¨ of this trip is ¨The easiest thing to do is nothing.¨ And, that´s what I´ve been learning this week. This week a woman asked that 4 members of out team would go with her to the women´s prison here in Cochabamba. After praying about it I was given a word to speak to...

Vessel

Week 3 of our mission in Cochabamba was crazy — and I´m not trying to be dramatic when I say crazy. After a day–long delay, the Georgia mission team finally arrived late Monday evening. For the next 5 days our new family of 19 christians ate breakfast at 6:30am, began the day with a devotional, went out into the field, ministered God´s will, ate delicious food, pursued fruitful conversations, and ended the day in a 6-7 hour coma. All the while we captured experiences that both stretched and blessed us. Along with going to orphanages + small church communities and doing vacation...

Memorial Day Weekend

I know Memorial Day Weekend has passed and a lot has happened between then and now but this blog serves a purpose. I arrived in Gainesville, GA on Memorial Day Weekend and got to see the faces of some of the people from my squad. The next day they were headed to the river to go kayaking and though I didn’t want to go, I chose to because I wanted to spend time with those people before they headed back home. The night before I told them I was not going and then I was, the next morning I told them I was then wasn’t then finally decided to go. It started out pretty...

Palabra de Vida

Hola Amigos y Familia! This week has gone by so quickly and Bolivia is starting to feel more like home! God has blessed us this whole time with gorgeous weather. There hasn’t been a cloud in the sky since we’ve arrived. When I see sunny skies and feel no wind I dress for summer, but the Bolivians think I am a bit crazy! It is their winter right now so they are bundled up 24/7. This week has been full of ministry and time to spend with God in devotion. Although I have felt so at home with my wonderful team, earlier this week I had a hard day where I struggled with the...
