His Love

Hola mis Amigos y Familia!

I am excited to share with you how God has been working this past week! Our team has now been here in Bolivia for over 3 weeks and our ministry has been growing and relationships have also been growing.

As you know we are here on the camp at Palabra de Vida (word of life for those of you who don’t know much espanol), and we are still working with the kids here at the missionary school. I LOVE them all and it has been suh a blessing being able to serve in this way by helping out at the school. During our lunch and free time we have been spending our time with the Bolivians here that attend the missionary school. We are all the same age and it is pretty awesome relating to them even though we aren’t fluent in their language yet. This past week as I mentioned relationships grew. We spent a lot of time sharing our testimonies, and it is AMAZING how God has worked in the lives of our Bolivian friends! Its so crazy realizing we serve the same God and how we can see that by the similar changes God has done in their lives.

It is hard to describe this week. I am still in the middle of learning what God wants of my life and how he wants to use me. But I just have to describe the JOY and yet BROKENNESS I felt when we went to a baby orphanage on Wednesday. By baby orphanage I mean that the kids ranged from triplets that were only 4 months old, to 5 year olds. There is an American woman who runs this orphanage in which she started when she was only 22. These kids have been rescued and saved from abuse, abortion and given life. Many struggle with the symptoms that come from a mother abusing her body while pregnant. The whole time I was there I tried so hard to hold back from just bursting in tears. God let me see these children as precious beings that deserve an incredible amount of love. I couldn’t fathom how someone would want to abandon their child. The joy I felt was that God chose to use me to love these children. I got to pick up a crying baby and watch her fall fast asleep as soon as she was in my arms. I got to push three kids at once on a swing set, and play tag in the small grassy yard. I ask that YOU pray for these kids, pray that they can be adopted into loving families who teach them the gospel so that they can be blessed in abundance.

God is really using our team now to reach out to the lost in this community. From increasing our knowledge of spanish we have been able to speak life into some lives of the hurt and broken on the streets. After a day spent at La Casa de Amested a few of us were walking out to the street to catch a cab. I noticed this girl standing against a wall with a small bottle of glue placed under her nose. She stood there by a baby stroller and it wasn´t hard for me to realize God wanted me to tell her something. I walked over to this girl who showed brokenness all over her face. She had a look in her eyes that sought for hope. I started a casual conversation with her and then realized I HAD to tell her she has a father that loves her and that we share that same father. She had never heard of Jesus Christ so I shared in spanish who he is and why God sent his son on this earth.  I honestly didnt know I could formulate sentences in spanish like I did and that I could share so much until i actually put myself out there and tried. God set up that divine appointment so I could remind his precious daughter that he loves her. and that is beautiful. it is beautiful that he uses a sinner like me to tell someone they are loved.

i am excited for this week and what more God has for us here! I hope that if any of you who read this have any prayer requests that you will email them to me! I would love to pray for you!
