God has been revealing to me over this trip my purpose here in Bolivia and on our team and my purpose in general- in the body of Christ. I wrote a blog earlier about La Casa De Amistad, my second visit there I met the older girls who are so beautiful and amazing and God instantly gave me a heart for them. I watch these girls interact with each other and laugh and play and I feel like they are my biological sisters. This past week I had the opportunity to go back to La Casa and hang out with them again. I was talking to a missionary today about how unfair it is that these girls who are at a crucial part in their life,(12-16 year olds) and they are living in a male prison. I was telling this missionary about how insecure and hard those years are and how crucial stability and attention from parents is and these girls don’t get any of that.
But God blesses His children and even though it´s only for 4 days, these precious girls get to leave the jail and come spend the night at Palabra de Vida for a camp that they throw for the la Casa kids. So about 80 kids and about 20 of their mothers are coming to Palabra de Vida (our home) and for four days they are going to get loved on, play games, make crafts, and hear about Christ’s love.
I’m so excited about this camp (its next week Tuesday- Friday) because we’ve already made connections with these kids and this opens up an opportunity to talk them about Christ and how He loves us so immensely.
Please pray for this camp and these kids! Specifically the girls I hang out with, that they would see Christ in everything we do and say and they would desire a relationship with Him!
Thanks for all your prayers!
